Homemade BBQ Sauce (with Tomato Paste)

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup tomato paste TM SMACHNA KUHNYA
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup honey or brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup water

METHOD OF PREPARATION:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Whisk well and bring to a simmer. Cook for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Adjust consistency by adding water if too thick. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
  4. Let cool, then store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
  5. Use as a dip, marinade, or glaze for grilled meats and vegetables.
