INGREDIENTS:
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 250g ground beef or pork
- 2 cups Bolognese sauce TM SMACHNA KUHNYA
- 1/2 cup water or broth
- Salt & black pepper (to taste)
- 250g pasta
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup grated cheese
- 2 tbsp fresh basil
METHOD OF PREPARATION:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
- Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
- Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add onions and cook for 3–4 minutes until soft. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
- Add the ground meat and cook for 5–7 minutes, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned.
- Pour in the Bolognese sauce and stir well.
- Add water or broth (if needed) to adjust thickness.
- Simmer for 5–10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with salt & black pepper to taste.
- Add the drained pasta directly into the sauce.
- Stir well to coat every strand of pasta evenly.
- If the sauce is too thick, add a bit of reserved pasta water to loosen it.
- Divide the pasta into bowls.
- Sprinkle generously with grated cheese and fresh basil.
