Teriyaki Fried Rice with Omelet & Teriyaki Beef

INGREDIENTS:

For the Teriyaki Beef:

  • 200g beef
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce TM KIM CHI
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce TM KIM CHI
  • 1 tsp garlic
  • 1 tsp ginger

For the Teriyaki Fried Rice:

  • 2 cups cooked rice (preferably day-old)
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 small carrot
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp butter

For Garnish:

  • 1 green onion
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

METHOD OF PREPARATION:

  1. In a small bowl, mix teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the sliced beef and cook for 2–3 minutes until browned.
  4. Pour in the teriyaki sauce mixture and let it cook for another 2 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken.
  5. In a bowl, whisk together eggs and milk (if using).
  6. Heat 1 tsp butter in a pan over medium-low heat.
  7. Pour in the eggs and cook gently, stirring occasionally, until just set but still soft.
  8. Remove from the pan, chop into small pieces, and set aside.
  9. In the same pan, heat 1 tbsp oil over medium-high heat.
  10. Add carrots and stir-fry for 1–2 minutes until slightly softened.
  11. Add the cooked rice, breaking up any clumps.
  12. Pour in teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, and sesame oil, stirring to coat the rice evenly.
  13. Mix in the chopped omelet and stir everything together for another 1–2 minutes.
  14. Plate the fried rice and place the teriyaki beef on top.
  15. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
